- Designated by department of higher education as ” A NODAL COLLEGE FOR SPORTS AND GAMES” in 1991.
Since 19 years, college is organizing all the district, division, state level tournament in different games
Objective of the department:
- To promote mass participation in physical education sports.
- To prepare better citizen ( mentaly, physically, emotionally) fit to the nation.
- To improve the standard of sports performance of Jabalpur sports person.
Programme Offered:
- Regular Practice of different games.
- Inter class/Inter house tournament
- Special Coaching Camp for Selected Games
- Organizing of inter collegiate, inter district, and inter divisional tournament.
- Organizing of yoga and karate activity.
- The physical education department and games has functioning as the prime nucleus for the organization of sports activities in various sports, discipline at college, university and national level.
- The department has established itself as leading center in sports in the region and presently catering sports needs of children and youth of Jabalpur by organizing
- Regular Yogic Training Camp
- Judo Karate coaching camp.

- It has separate badminton hall with air crush wooden international standard to promote the game standard so that they get new experience and perform better.
- We have well developed hockey field our hockey field is one the oldest center of hockey in Jabalpur. Hockey was introduced in old Robertson College by then principal, Sir Henry sharp in 1894. The department of physical education & sports started in 1894.
- Basketball court.
The department of physical education & sports also offer these facilities to government and non- government organization for conducting sports and games programme.
Future plan of the department:
The department of physical education plans to start the regular course of Physical education under graduate one year course (B.P.Ed.)
The college team participate regularly in the following events as per the calendar of M.P. Higher Education and R.D.University jabalpur in Inter college

The college teachers actively participate in university and higher education Teacher sports. Recently the college teacher played major role to conduct successfully the college annual athletic meet.
During last five year our college has organized four state level tournaments in Football M/W, cricket M/W, Volleyball, Basketball and many intercollegiate and inters district tournaments.
Incentive to outstanding sportspersons:
Every year Track suit, Trophy, including playing kits are given by College sports committee to outstanding sports person.
