A separate research cell has been entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining an atmosphere which is conducive to the development of research in the College. Excellent research facilities exist in almost every research laboratory.

Some facilities and important research topics in various research centers are being summarized here.

A central Instrumentation Laboratory has been established in the College with help of CPE grant of UGC. This lab is equipped with sophisticated instruments viz. precision balance, CO2 incubator, HPLC system, UV-VIS, FTIR and Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers, Millipore water purification system. These instruments are not available in any other Govt. College in the whole state. Out of the prestigious FIST grant from DST, New Delhi, College has recently procured X- ray Diffractometer. Facilities of this central lab are being utilized also by students and faculties of other institutions of this region.

One reputed retired professor is also working on a Major Research Project in zoology Department. Extraordinary and rare collection of specimens is available in the museums of Zoology and Geology departments. These two museums attract many academician and visitors from all over the state.

There are six well equipped research labs with all the basic infrastructural facilities and basic equipments like- electronic balances, magnetic stirrers, rotamantle, distillation units, hot plates, shaking machines, soxhlet extractor, sonicators, vacuum pumps, hot air oven, muffle furnace, microwave oven, pH meters, conductivity meters, Zeta sizer, Hardness testing machine, etc.
